How to Turn These Into Bubble Letter Stencils

Want reusable stencils instead of one-time cutouts? Here’s how I do it:

1. Print your letters on heavy cardstock (110 lb or heavier holds up best)
2. Cut carefully along the outer bubble outline with sharp scissors or a craft knife
3. For letters with inner holes (like A, B, O, R), cut the center out too, or leave it solid if you just want the outer shape
4. Trace the cutout onto poster board, wood, foam board, or fabric
5. Reuse the same stencil again and again — cardstock holds its shape through several rounds of tracing

This is the fastest way to go from a plain letter stencils printable file to something sturdy enough to use over and over, and it works for the full alphabet, numbers, and special characters alike.

Mom Tip: If you’re stenciling onto poster board for a banner, tape the printable letter down first so it doesn’t slide while you trace. I learned this one the hard way with a very wobbly “HAPPY.”
