This single-sheet poster uses a 6ร5 grid of circles, numbered circular days, Halloween icons and border, and decorative spiderweb corners in a flat illustrative Halloween style.
Kids cross off one circle a day, which works just as well taped to the fridge as it does on a classroom bulletin board.
It fits right in with free Halloween printables for home, classroom, and party prep, and you can pair it with Halloween printable signs or a Halloween banner. Happy haunting! ๐ป

How to Use a Halloween Countdown Calendar in the Classroom
I hang this by the door and make crossing off the day part of morning meeting. It takes ten seconds and the kids fight over whose turn it is, which tells you everything about how much they love a countdown.
It doubles as calendar math without anybody noticing. “How many days until Halloween?” is a real subtraction problem when the answer is sitting on the wall. With little ones I point to the icon on that day’s circle and we say the word together โ bat, cauldron, ghost โ so it sneaks in a vocabulary minute too.

Halloween Countdown Calendar FAQ
When should I start the countdown? The poster runs 30 days, so start on October 1 and the last circle lands on Halloween. If you like a full-month feel, October has 31 days โ just start the countdown on the 2nd, or cross two circles on the first morning.
Can I print it in black and white? Yes. The design holds up fine without color, which matters if you are running it off the school copier for a whole class.
Does it work for a home countdown too? That is where it started. Tape it to the fridge at kid height and it runs itself.
