This September 2026 calendar printable comes in 28 layouts, so you can print the one that matches how you actually plan instead of settling for the only version someone made.
September is the month everything restarts at once — back to school, and everything that comes with it.
The first day of school, the practices, the sign-up sheets, the forms that come home in a folder and need signing by Friday. I made the daily boxes roomy on purpose — you should be able to write a real plan in one without cramming.
Every dated version has Labor Day and the first day of fall already marked, so you are not filling those in yourself.
This is part of the fall calendar set — grab that one if you want September, October and November on a single page instead.
What’s in the Download
There are four PDFs. Pick the one that matches your paper and your week, and each contains the same seven layouts:
- Dated — plain September 2026 grid, open boxes
- Blank / undated — no year, with a circle to write each date, so you can reuse it
- Dated with holidays — Labor Day and the first day of fall marked
- Holidays + to-do list — checklist panel down the side
- Holidays + notes — lined notes panel down the side
- Cute dot banner — decorative header if it is going somewhere visible
- Holidays + writing lines — ruled lines inside every box
The four PDFs are portrait Sunday-start, portrait Monday-start, landscape Sunday-start, and landscape Monday-start. Seven layouts each, twenty-eight pages in total, all free.
September Calendar With Holidays — the 2026 Dates
The dates already printed on the dated versions:
- Labor Day — Monday, September 7, 2026 (no school in most districts)
- First day of fall / autumnal equinox — Tuesday, September 22, 2026
Dates worth adding yourself, because they move by district:
- First day of school
- Picture day
- Back-to-school night or open house
- Early-release days
- Patriot Day — September 11
- Grandparents Day — Sunday, September 13, 2026
Pencil in the school dates first. Everything else in September arranges itself around them.
Best Ways to Stay Organized in September:
- I print one page and keep it on the fridge for the whole family.
- I circle big dates first, then I fill in the smaller stuff around them.
- I pair the monthly page with a 1-week calendar when my weeks feel packed.
- I use a 4-week calendar when I want a simple month-style tracking setup.
- I add a blank countdown calendar when I need a visual countdown to an event.
- I plan dinners faster when I keep this next to my monthly meal planner.
- I print a fresh copy mid-month if my schedule changes and my page gets messy.

Blank September Calendar (Undated)
The undated version has no year on it and a small circle in the corner of each cell for writing the date. Print it once, slide it into a page protector or a frame, and write on the front with a dry-erase marker.
That turns one page into something you reuse every September — or any month, if you are using it as a generic blank calendar template for a habit tracker or a chore chart.
September Calendar Monday Start
If you came looking for a September calendar Monday start layout, downloads 2 and 4 are it — they run Monday through Sunday. Same roomy boxes, same layout, just the column order changed.
This is not a cosmetic preference. If the calendar on your wall or in your planner already starts on Monday, a Sunday-start printable makes you re-read every row. Match the one you already have.
Landscape vs Portrait: Which September Calendar to Print
Portrait is the default and fits a binder, a clipboard, or the front of the fridge.
Landscape gives every day about forty percent more width. Print that one if you are tracking more than one person, if your handwriting is large, or if the calendar is going on a bulletin board where a wide page reads better from across the room.
Both are US Letter, so both print on the paper already in your printer.
September 2026 Calendar With Notes or a To-Do List
Two of the seven layouts add a full-height panel beside the grid.
The notes version gives you ruled lines — good for the running list of things that do not belong on a specific day. Supply lists, teacher names, the login for the school portal.
The to-do version gives you checkboxes instead. I use that one in the first two weeks of school when there is an actual pile of tasks with deadlines attached.
