These free printable Thanksgiving would you rather questions are the easiest game to run at the dinner table: print the cards, read one out loud, and let everyone defend their pick.

No setup, no pieces to lose, no wrong answers. There are 20 questions across two pages, and they land for a table of kids and a table of adults alike.

Two printable Thanksgiving Would You Rather question sheets on a brown background, each with 10 paired questions like eat only turkey or only mashed potatoes

I keep a copy at each end of a long table so nobody’s waiting on one sheet, and I let a kid be the reader β€” they love running it.

It’s a would-you-rather game to play, which is a different job from our Thanksgiving conversation starters: those are open-ended prompts to keep dinner talking, while these are quick this-or-that arguments that get loud fast.

Thanksgiving Would You Rather for Kids

The silly, low-stakes questions are the ones that get a table of kids genuinely worked up.

“Ride a turkey to dinner or fly on a giant dinner roll?” is the kind of thing a seven-year-old will debate with real conviction.

Read one, go around the table so everyone answers. It works just as well as a no-prep classroom warm-up the week before break.

Want more? Keep the fun going with Thanksgiving Charades, Thanksgiving Pictionary, or Thanksgiving Scattegories β€” or try puzzles like Thanksgiving Word Scramble and Thanksgiving Word Search. Print a couple and you’ve got a full evening of things to do between the meal and the pie that aren’t a screen.

Thanksgiving Would You Rather for Adults

The grown-up table gets the trickier trade-offs: “Cook the whole meal or do all the dishes?” “Go without gravy or without rolls?”

These start real, funny arguments between people who’ve known each other for decades.

It works especially well at a Friendsgiving where not everyone knows each other β€” the answers are little windows into people, and they get the table laughing fast.

How to Play at the Dinner Table

There’s no setup. Read a question, go around the table, everyone answers and defends their pick. That’s it β€” and the tangents are the point, so let them run. For a livelier version (great in a classroom), name one side of the room “A” and the other “B” and have everyone physically move to the side that matches their answer.
