This free printable Thanksgiving Pictionary game is quick to set up and fun for all ages.
It’s 36 cards with 108 words — and every card shows a little picture next to the word, so even a kid who can’t read yet can look at the turkey and draw a blob with feathers.
I designed all of my charades and pictionary games with kids in mind. They don’t have to be able to read to play! Instead, you can play the game just looking at pictures.
Once they get a little older, you can incentivise them to read words by playing with points. #1 (the picture) is worth 1 point. #2 and #3 are reading-only and harder words, so they are worth 2 and 3 points each!
Prefer to act it out instead of draw it? The Thanksgiving charades printable uses the same 108 words. And for a phone-friendly crowd, the Thanksgiving emoji pictionary has you decode emoji strings instead.

Easy Thanksgiving Pictionary Words for Little Kids
The picture-on-the-card design is what makes this work for preschool. A four-year-old who can’t read “turkey” can see the little turkey on the card and draw it anyway. That’s the difference between a game they play and one they watch.
Pull the easy cards for the youngest players — turkey, pie, corn, leaf, hat, apple, pumpkin, cup, candle, drumstick — and pair each little kid with a grown-up. The drawings will be unrecognizable and everyone guesses anyway. That’s the fun.
Thanksgiving Pictionary Rules and Scoring
Cut the cards and stack them face down. Split into teams. A player draws a card and sketches it — no letters, no talking — while their team guesses before the one-minute timer runs out. A correct guess scores a point; then the next team goes.
Play to a set number of points, or just rotate until everyone has drawn twice. House rule that keeps it moving: no erasing, only adding — it makes the bad drawings funnier.

Pictionary vs Charades vs Emoji Pictionary
Three drawing-and-guessing games, three different tables. Regular Pictionary is draw-and-guess with a pencil — best for a calmer group. Thanksgiving charades is act-it-out — best when the kids need to move. Thanksgiving emoji pictionary is decode-the-emoji-string — best for a phone-friendly crowd who’d rather read than perform.
Pictionary and charades even share the same 108 words, so a group that played one already knows the vocabulary for the other. Print whichever fits your crowd — or all three for a full game night.
